Now the night has bullied the day away I have time to analyse
as poems and messages sashay their way across the back of my eyes.
Rivers of words flow into a sea and I can no longer disguise
dreams that acquire substance and take on the guise of spies
in once dormant pockets of a heart where love now lies.
Nothing can stem the tide of feeling, one word is enough.
Echoes of all that's been written or said, that word is love.

The Words That Got to Me
Now the night has bullied the day away *What a cool image that brings to my mind. I love it and bet I will remember it from now on once twilight hits. poems and messages sashay their way across *The dance teacher and choreographer in me loves this image! Very vivid and brings your picture to life.
I love poems that have words that rhyme within their lines (oh, geez - like what I just did. haha) Are they called "internal rhymes?" For some reason, that's the term that's coming to my mind. (oh dear gawd; that is NOT intentional!! This review is beginning to sound like Dr. Seuss!) But I genuinely enjoyed them in this poem of yours that felt simultaneously spritely yet flowing - no easy combination...well, except for the masterful among us, of course...like you! xoxo Encore! Encore!!
