Thank you very much for your kind words. The last line is "we enter the realms of forever" which has 9 syllables. I like the line you picked out too.

A lovely poem, Bernie. It reads softly like the falling snow and simmer breeze, flowing on, everlasting. Sounds perfect to me! :) Beautiful!

The Words That Got to Me
Soundless like snow. I do love a bit of sibilance!
Suggestions / Possible Tweaks
on a summer breeze. I liked the idea but this phrase felt a little hackneyed.
I enjoyed the simplicity and sentiments expressed in this one. From Love at the start to forever at the end, this had grace and felt genuine.

Thank you very much both for your comment and your suggestion. Hackneyed is maybe a bit harsh. There are words I like to use when I write this sort of poem, words that provide a link between them. Breeze is one of those, along with thread and leaves.

There is a lovely gentleness to this, Bernie. “Soundless like snow” particularly got to me; such a simple image, but it captures beautifully the idea of something arriving almost unnoticed. I also enjoyed the craft of building the nonet upwards, allowing the poem to grow from that single word, “Love”, towards forever. I did get a little confused at the end, though. I can follow the syllable count perfectly from one through to eight, but I can't find the nine-syllable final line. If the image is intended to complete the poem, I'm still only finding eight syllables there, unless I've missed something. A lovely little piece regardless, and perhaps you've simply left me searching for that final piece of the puzzle.
