Suggestions / Possible Tweaks

Ahhh, you've done it again: shown the professionalism way to pen an acrostic poem. You are two-for-two now of composing ones I've liked and found enriching. As I mentioned before, in lesser writers' hands, this form always seems so contrived or stilted to me. But yours flow - rhyming even, with PERFECT snippets of alliteration [another poetic vehicle I more 'tolerate' than 'appreciate.' But you do it perfectly.], a great message and a less-is-more length. And then, as if all that wasn't enough, the pics of dream catchers is the perfect cherry on top. Very enjoyable read this morning. Xoxo. Oops. Bernie, I'm so sorry; I just realized I put this in the wrong section. I have no suggestions or possible tweaks. It was perfection.

Thank you Rachelle. I am not one to fuss about the section a comment goes in. Your very kind words are much appreciated. I am so glad I veered more towards appreciate than tolerate. That makes my day. Cheers Rachelle. Have a good one. xoxo

The Words That Got to Me

R ecycled remnants of truth and fiction intertwined. slowly slink away Yes - a tantalising mixture that almost makes sense and then drifts away.

I enjoyed this dip into the 'dusty depths' of your dreams. You masterfully used rhyme, sibilance and alliteration to tantalise the reader's imagination here.

Thank you very much. Yes almost making sense was what I was aiming for.

The Words That Got to Me

I love the alliteration using the D in the first line............Down, dank dusty depths. This is a well-written acrostic. The poem although brief, captures the elements of most dreams....Snippets that must be analyzed.

Suggestions / Possible Tweaks

The only suggestion I have is to make the first letter in each line a different color from the rest of the text or italicize it, so what you are describing can be readily seen as the poem is read..

The Words That Got to Me

Down in the dank, dusty depths of my subconscious mind .... dreams await

Ah, the dreams of the subconscious mind - some caught and saved in the dream catcher? I say, if you have stories that thrill, you are a fortunate man. And those that "slunk" away hopefully aren't remembered. A very thoughtful piece, honestly expressed as you reminisce and separate truth from fiction. A fascinating acrostic.
