The Flip Side of Imagination

What grows in the dark...

The Flip Side of Imagination

I can stand a lot of strife

Little complicates my life.

But, oh! the darkness! That I hate.

Because it can manipulate.

For in its clutches, my brain creeps

Toward images of terrors deep:

Bloodied knives and men who kill,

Lunatics who lunge at will,

Animals with rabid teeth

Lurking high or underneath,

Fingers reaching for my throat,

Psychopaths of fame and note.

In the dark, I conjure these

With creative expertise.

Imaginative overflows

Bring out heinous undertows.

In the dark, the struggle’s real.

There’s what I know…

And what I feel.

The Words That Got to Me

But, oh! the darkness! That I hate. Because it can manipulate.

A darkness monster's what you need and only your words would he heed a scary dude would be so neat: a darkness monster, named, Mayreet! In the dark you wouldn't worry He'd take care of every flurry He would always light your way Yep, Mayreet would save the day! I've come to really like that name A darkness monster of great fame a personal protector who has ONE job: to take care of you. Rachelle's darkness specialist, , and did I say, the sexiest monster when daylight retreats, Hubby, new nickname: Mayreet The Dark Tamer couldn't resist - had to play with your invented name. Maybe if you think of "him" you won't be afraid. :) No more fingers at your throat no more psychopaths of note, Just your hubby, brave and sweet with the nickname of Mayreet. ha!

Oh my! This is the most elaborate review I daresay I have ever received!! Thank you for the smile with this one! xoxo
