I think my brain is satiated:
Years of info, ingestated,
Filed and alphabeticated—
Maybe it exploderated.
Sometimes feel quite addlepated,
From my mind emancipated,
Saying things so unrelated
That my friends are worryated.
New ideas have dissipated,
Story-lines feel antiquated.
How to be re-generated
When I’m not cerebralated?
Sitting here, computerated,
Prob’ly carpal tunnelated,
Getting very agitated—
Jolt of chocolate indicated?
Writing skills, evacuated,
Brain cells have been confiscated
Now it’s unadulterated
Silliness that’s syncopated.
You may think this elongated
Rhyming rot has indicated
That this gal—most brilliantated—
Is a slight bit pixilated.
Nope, just
Cold and unimaginated!
Nose is running unabated,
Bet my feet have frozer-ated.
Think I’ll get in the tub.

The Words That Got to Me
Prob’ly carpal tunnelated made me chuckle. Jolt of chocolate indicated- oh, definitely helpful to a stick brain!
This was a fun, wryly drawn poem on the dubious joys of creative writing!
