Dusk at Stonehenge

Gathering at dusk,

keepers of ancient secrets,

a murder of crows

Neolithic man

sought sunlight ceremony

at burial site

We can only guess

true spiritual reasons;

only the crows know

Ooooh! I love the mysterious, almost mystical flavor of this haunting composition! And, of course, the perfect photo to enhance it! Great week-starter for me! xoxo

We visited Stonehenge yesterday - 8,000 years of history to ponder!

The Words That Got to Me

only the crows know Wonderful

Rachel, that is a mystical message, and beautiful picture which reminded me of an author, Diana Gabaldon, who wrote several wonderful books beginning with a young woman, walking around Stonehenge, who was taken, through the stones, back in time. a very exciting story which was also turned into a TV series. Anyway, good poem and your addition of the murder of crows, a neat touch.

Ooh - I don’t know that series. I’ll look it up.

I think you'll get hooked. It is the Outlander Series.
