There was a young woman so haughty,
Sal’s manners were really quite naughty,
When men said, “Hello!”
Sal would sing and bellow,
Pounding keys on her pianoforte.
There was a young fellow from Fife,
Bored with his tedious life.
Heard that musical ditty,
Riding through Sal’s city,
Determined to make her his wife.
Sal heard the young man so lean,
His proposal so eager and keen.
Feeling slightly bored,
She hit a minor chord,
Her response rather rude and mean.
Pete learnt a hard lesson that day:
Don’t disturb young ladies who play.
Their musical ear,
Makes them quite cavalier,
When they’re in love with a super Steinway.

The Words That Got to Me
In your descriptions of them, I have to say they didn't sound suited for each other
I loved her playing the minor chord for her refusal of his proposal! ha! That was a Clever idea. This is a cute limerick for the challenge entry. I am not knocking my dear friend, Rachelle, but I had not intended that the limerick challenge needed to be baudy. It could have been a choice. At any rate, this is a neat entry with raucous Sal's finesse on the piano.
