Poetry Challenge

A door stands before you, but something about it is uncertain. Maybe it won't open. Maybe it opens only halfway. Maybe it isn't really a door at all. What crosses the threshold is up to you. It could be a memory, a stranger, a season or another version of yourself. Write a poem - any style - about the moment before the crossing, the act of stepping through or what waits on the other side.
