I am Australian, a retired teacher who enjoys writing about life, the good, the bad, the funny and the ugly. I enjoy my new roles as a Palliative Care volunteer and a Therapy Dog handler. My dog Sunny and I visit three different hospitals and his role is to offer love, comfort and care. Faces light up? His work is done. I also volunteer with our Disaster Recovery program.
Currently working on: One small project. An entry for a book of Seniors Stories. Thousands enter, and a hundred stories are chosen for this annual anthology.

How I Got Here
I’ve always loved writing but had little time for it until I retired. Joined a different writing group but found it did not match with what I wanted from a writing group.
What I've Done
1. Telling Tales - Out of School (teaching experiences which were one of a kind. Drama, humour, laughter, tears). 2. Jonathan’s Story (fostering a severely disabled child, and then battling government and medical systems for the next thirty-four years). 3. Sunny Days ( written mostly by Sunny. It’s a dog’s journey from being re-homed to a new life as a much loved therapy dog. He includes his observations about humans and their quirks and how he trained his Mama in all things related to his well-being and happiness. 4. Kudos, Bravo and Cheers. Stories of lesser known Australians who have overcome something (different for each person) or gone “above and “ beyond in some way, to make a significant contribution to their community or Australia as a whole. Inspiring and challenging. Have been accepted every year except one for inclusion in an annual anthology of Seniors Stories on a specified topic.
