Enthusiasm

Always. Choose. Joy!

Enthusiasm

I love my life,

I love my friends,

I love the color red.

I love the way

the morning smells.

I love my cozy bed.

I love that I'm allowed to do

whatever that I choose:

Eat some ice cream,

go for walks,

buy new high-heeled shoes.

I can even find some joy

in things that aren't so great:

Surly salesclerks,

Naughty dogs,

A much-protracted wait.

Salesclerks: I will MAKE them smile!

I'll work relentlessly

until they fin'lly just give in

and grin right back at me.

Naughty dogs? I make the time

to cuddle, pet and coo.

And then I feel them lick and nudge

the way good doggies do.

Regarding that protracted wait?

I chat it up in line.

We wile away the minutes

and forget about the time.

I love that I can always choose

to find some happiness.

I love that I'm so very good

at making life its best!

The Words That Got to Me

And then I feel them lick and nudge the way good doggies do. Anyone who loves dogs must be a goodie!

I loved the upbeat cheerfulness here, and the way you can turn the mundane parts of life into fun too. That way lies eternal youth.

Thank you, Rachel. I am nothing in life if not perky!! xoxo
