Space

A poem I wrote back in 2019

Space

In the vast expanse where galaxies gleam,

Quantum realms dance, a subatomic dream.

Within our veins, a universe thrives,

Cells and stars, parallel lives.

The digital realm, a new frontier,

Yet personal space we still hold dear.

Architectural wonders touch the sky,

Echoes of dreams, where ambitions lie.

Cultural tales, woven through time,

In the dance of space, a cosmic rhyme.

Philosophers muse on reality's thread,

While artists paint where emotions tread.

Musical notes, in the void they soar,

Crafting a universe, lore upon lore.

Emotions, like stars, distant yet near,

Guide our path, through joy and fear.

Galaxies whirl in a celestial trance,

Yet within our minds, thoughts take a chance.

The vastness outside, the depth within,

Both realms of space, where tales begin.

In bustling cities, life's stories emerge,

Yet in silent space, stars and dreams converge.

The cosmos vast, life's rhythm below,

In the dance of space, we come to know.

Black holes beckon, with gravity's song,

Mirroring desires, passions strong.

From the outer void to the soul's decree,

Space is the canvas of destiny.

In the dance of light, shadows play,

Crafting tales of night and day.

From mind's vast realm to heart's deep core,

Space sings of legends, myths of yore.

In the end, as stars fade away,

New beginnings in the cosmos sway.

From the smallest quark to the endless sky,

In the tapestry of space, dreams never die.

Boundless and infinite, space does unfold,

A story of time, eternally told.

From atom's dance to the galactic spree,

In the embrace of space, we are truly free.

The Words That Got to Me

Crafting a universe, lore upon lore. *This is such a tight description of something so vast. But it's perfection: it's all built on stories. Emotions, like stars, distant yet near, *This is spot-on, too. You're hitting this out of the ballpark...in rhyming couplets, no less!!! The vastness outside, the depth within, *I love your brains, and I also love how you have this knack for opening up the windows of MINE. Thank you for making me see things with such a different slant. Space is the canvas of destiny. *See previous comment and say "Ditto." quark *such a great word. In the tapestry of space, dreams never die *What a heartening thought! From atom's dance to the galactic spree, In the embrace of space, we are truly free. *So comforting.

Your parallels drawn of these parallel universes fascinate me, because they are smart and cogent and true...and concepts I had never even gone on the brink of contemplating, myself. Plus, I'm a sucker for rhyming couplets. (I'm pretty sure that's the musician in me...) Thoroughly enjoyable read. Thank you for this tonight. xoxo
