Autumn’s gifts

A stacked haiku in praise of autumn.

Rachel GoslingSeptember 27, 202616 views
Autumn’s gifts

springing from the soil,

extra-terrestrial domes;

white, shiny mushrooms

Black crows eye the breeze,

protective green shells explode,

glossy conkers fall

skittish squirrels dance,

tiny feet dislodging leaves

under harvest moon

The Words That Got to Me

Extra-terrestrial domestic *very clever with a unique literary slant Feet dislodge leaves *so few words to describe such a flurry of activity

It's my favorite time of year, and you made it uniquely picturesque. Bravo to you!. Xo

I absolutely love autumn. So beautiful.

Plus, it matches out hair, right?!
