Sam and Maude

Sam and Maude

When Sam wandered in through the crowd
He declared in a voice that was loud
I wish for a wife
to make sense of this life
With bosoms that stand out quite proud.

Now Maude had a chest that was flat
But then she was happy with that
for the smile on her face
could stop the whole place
with the force of a swung cricket bat.

Then Sam made another decree
A good wife must keep feeding me
She'd bring tea with a smile,
And a sandwich worthwhile,
For a husband, well cared for must be.

Now, Maude didn’t care about meals.
Friends ran from her cooking with squeals.
Her passion was bikes,
and long outdoor hikes
She'd sooner wear mud than high heels.

Their profiles connected online
So agreed to meet up for a time
They sat at the bar
Things never got far
So they parted, but that was quite fine.
