I'm a former teacher who is now writing and creating art. I'm married to my husband Chris. We're from NY but currently live in PA with our dog, Nevada and cat, Ali. Looking forward to joing friends on this great site.
I enjoy writing all types of poetry and stories, but my favorite is love poetry. I look forward to getting to know you all.
Timing is everything. I was born in Ireland on 29th April, 1954, nine days after the last legal hanging. Even the best laid plans go astray. Six months later my parents dragged kicking and screaming to live in England
I’m an avid reader who enjoys editing others’ work and occasionally dabbling in nonfiction writing.
I've been published in several poetry magazines, two books, and wrote a chapter for a college textbook in criminology. My book, Twenty to Life earned a national book award.
I would not call myself a writer or a student of the art, I am however a writing enthusiast. My penchant for elongated prose and circumlocution is more for dramatic effect than literary necessity.
I have always loved writing. Short stories, flash fiction, a novel and poetry. My favourite medium is poetry. I love music and see it as like mile markers for significant times in our lives.
I am Australian, a retired teacher who enjoys writing about life, the good, the bad, the funny and the ugly. I enjoy my new roles as a Palliative Care volunteer and a Therapy Dog handler. My dog Sunny and I visit three different hospitals and his role is to offer love, comfort and care. Faces light up? His work is done. I also volunteer with our Disaster Recovery program.
Used to write for kids when granddaughter was young. Now mostly write (hopefully) humorous dialogues, poems, and short stories. I have been writing for around twenty-five years, so have tons of stories.
I have always loved literature and took a BA (Hons) degree and then a Master’s degree in English literature. I am a former mainstream and special needs teacher but have taken a few months off to re-unite with my creative side, after also caring for my, now deceased, parents. I am a mum and grandmother and also care for a family member. I also have a lovely dog called Olly, who keeps me busy!
I am me, I write, I sing, I don't dance.
I am a retired high school English teacher who loves to read and write. Post teaching, I am a supervisor of an Adult Day Program. I have two adult daughters and one granddaughter who I am most proud of.
Co-founder of Collectively Write. Believer in the power of constructive feedback and genuine creative community.
I was born and raised in Idaho, and writing has been part of my life since 9th grade. For a long time, it stayed tucked away in journals and files—never shared, just mine. That changed when I found a writing community and finally took the leap. What I found was real connection, honest feedback, and incredible talent. It showed me that writing isn’t about perfection—it’s about telling the truth and letting it be seen. I co-created Collectively Write because I believe writing should be judged on truth and talent—not status. It’s built to be transparent, not driven by memberships or money. Writing can be lonely. It doesn’t have to be.
